Based on current sugar cane prices announced by the government and assuming average recovery ratio for the industry, cost of production of sugar is slightly higher vis-à-vis local prices. Given the expected increase in sugar prices, this trend is expected to reverse in MY19 with retail prices expected to be higher vis-à-vis cost of production.
